Story : A big time smuggler and ruthless criminal, Billa (Prabhas) meets his nemesis in the Deputy Superintendent of Police Alenxander (Krishnam Raju) and is killed. To nab the entire gang, the Deputy Superintendent of Police devises a master plan. He does not disclose Billas's Death. Instead, he hires a look alike of Billa to impersonate Billa.
To Billa's horror, the Deputy Superintendent of Police is soon killed by criminals. Billa is caught by police with other criminals. Police doesnt belive his words and he is now caught between the disbelieving police and vicious goons. Is there a way out for him? must be seen on the big screen.
Performances : Prabhas is brilliant as Billa. He has slimmed down a bit and theres a visual treat for mass audience with his 8 pack body on display. He suited the character perfectly and the credit goes to director. Anushka is big asset to this film. Her acting was ok but she scored full marks for her glamour in this movie. Namitha does her part and she is quite good. Hansika has a item song and a small role which she accomplishes perfectly. Supreet is good as prabhas associate. Tamil Actor Rehman did a important role as an associate of Krishnam Raju. He is perfect for that role. All others were adequate.
Technical aspects : Direction is top notch in first half. Screen play is good throughout the film with slight faults. Cinematography by Soundar Rajan is fantastic. Soundar Rajan shot Billa on Super 35 Camera and its an absolute visual delight. Costume are very trendy and stylish which goes with the story line superbly. Music is top notch. Mani sharma has given beautiful songs and background sounds are upto the mark. Songs presentation is a visual treat. Production is grand and producers must be assessed for making this film.
Final Analysis :
These are the scenes which i liked in this movie:
* Introduction of Prabhas - Its like some kinda bond style.
* Complete movie is stylish and is a visual treat.
* Chase sequence which is the best i have seen in indian films.
* Actions sequences.
* Bommali song.
Scenes which arent interesting are:
* Ending of the movie is not Convincing.
* No comedy in second half.
All in all its a complete mass film with style. It has all the ingredients to become a blockbuster. Its a must watch for the prabhas, anushka,action sequences and stylish presentation. Its a must watch for fantasy maniacs and in general all classes of people.
